A video

A little video for you.

Teeny Toonie Token? The TTC keeps falling further and further behind.

What a waste! The smart card system would finally catch Toronto up to the rest of the world. Instead we're investing money on more tokens? How come these videos never talk about the GTA pass for a means of getting around on one fare?

Resonance - Just to prove that sound is very cool.

This is a cool video of a sound resonance experiment. As a warning, you may want to turn down your speakers before viewing this. Some of the high frequencies may damage your ears, your speakers and your relationships with loved ones.

Very good selection of NES games you can play online.

Olbermann awards Beck "worst person in the world"

At least I'm not the only one who was upset by Beck's sheer stupidity and racism. What a moron.

This is just terrible...

I try my best to not post anything political on this blog, however I don't think anyone can watch the following clip and not be infuriated to no end. How this Glen Beck idiot has a platform like this to open his idiot mouth and talk this way is beyond me. I don't like posting things out of anger, but the fury that this caused is unmatched.

From mediamatters.org:

On the November 14 edition of his CNN Headline News program, Glenn Beck interviewed Rep.-elect Keith Ellison (D-MN), who became the first Muslim ever elected to Congress on November 7, and asked Ellison if he could "have five minutes here where we're just politically incorrect and I play the cards up on the table." After Ellison agreed, Beck said: "I have been nervous about this interview with you, because what I feel like saying is, 'Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.' " Beck added: "I'm not accusing you of being an enemy, but that's the way I feel, and I think a lot of Americans will feel that way."

The Problems with Insomnia

Everyone knows that for the most part insomnia is terrible thing to be inflicted with. While making it impossible to function normally during daylight hours, it also physically destroys from the inside. I have been unable to get a good night sleep in ages. It's just proving to be impossible to fall into a state of sleep. No matter how tired I am or get I simply cannot sleep. The very fact that I'm posting this at 4am is purely a result of insomnia. But there has to be upsides to being awake during godless hours of the night? It can't all be bad news, can it?

I have been able to listen to more music then I have been able to recently. Organizing my massive collection requires hours and hours of dedication that AM seems to be perfectly suited for. Watching TV isn't any good since it's mostly infomercials and bars and tones at this time, but the internet does run 24 hours. Perhaps it's time to open an online business? Turn this misfortune into profit. It would seem to be the perfect time to complete assignments for school, but when the mind has been awake for this long it's difficult to put together a coherent sentence let alone write a 10 page academic article.

Perhaps the answer is blogging. This may be my first nocturnal post, but should I continue this sleepless trend it's bound to not be my last. Musing on meandering thoughts is a task that the sleep-deprived mind thrives on. For example: why when I know that sleep is required I tend to crave only the most caffeinated beverages? Why must I contradict the needs of my body with the wants of my mind? Why does heartburn hit the worst every time I try to lie down? Why does medical science fail me? For the answer to these questions and more, join me in dreamland.
